Lisa Kahookele has been a part of the Boone DMACC campus for 20 years. She is an Adjunct instructor for several classes and she also works in the Academic Achievement Center. She was born in Maui but grew up in Nebraska. She is very proud of her Heritage.She has an English degree and also has a degree in journalism and Secondary education.Lisa comes from a long line of educators so she gave up the fight to not be an instructor and went with the family tradition of teaching. This interview is about some of the things she had to over come in life and things she values.
