Our DMACC Bears held their own against Highland. DMACC came out with an solid effort in the first half starting off with a 4 point lead at half. DMACC’s savvy defense held a good shooting Highland team to a 36% shooting percentage from the field in the first half; While shooting DMACC shot 52% from the field in this first half. DMACC up 35-30 coming out of half-time it was Highland who gained momentum in the second half. Highland shot 50% from the field in the second half opposed to DMACC falling into a slump shooting 42% from the field in the second half forcing overtime here in the Bears Den. Wali Parks played a seemingly normal role for him late in stretch leading the team in scoring for overtime, scoring the first 5 points of overtime. Wali Parks finished the game with a good stat-line shooting with efficiency, he scored 16 points on 6-9 shooting (66.67%) along with 7 rebounds 3 Assist 1 block and 1 steal as the DMACC Bears outlasts the Highland Scotties (77-72).
