The Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) has named Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) men’s basketball player Wali Parks the ICCAC Co-Athlete of the Week for Division II men’s basketball for the week of November 7 to 13.

Parks, a freshman from Iowa City, shared the honor with Ben Moss of North Iowa Area Community College (NIACC).

Parks averaged 25.5 points and 7.5 rebounds in DMACC’s wins over the Grand View University junior varsity (GVUJV) and McCook Community College (MCC). Against MCC, Parks scored a season-high 34 points on 12-of-18 shooting, pulled down six rebounds and had a pair of steals as the Bears improved to 3-0 with a 91-86 win.

For the season Parks is averaging 21 points and 7.3 rebounds a game.
