We all know what time of year it is. Many a night have students been reminded of the importance of studying ahead of time as we cram for finals. However, for as many bad energy drink jokes that get there are students who really feel the pressure this time of year. The stress is real as some students may decide to just spend a few hours studying meanwhile other students will spend all night working and worrying themselves into exhaustion.

If you are a member of the latter portion of that example then you may be finding yourself strung out in these next few days. I want to remind those students to take breaks and try to remember that a bit of R&R can be a breath of fresh air. It can seem impossible to find the time but as long as you’re willing to put in the work when it counts and manage the time you do have then the time will find itself. You will find that by breaking up your workload over several short breaks it becomes far more approachable. While a lot of this advice seems superfluous it’s worth can be deceiving, especially to those who are already strung out.

In a previous article I detailed the importance of the AAC and what it can do for you. In times of finals stress, procrastination recovery, or whatever reason you have for your homework coming back to bite you the AAC can really be a big help. Your advisors are also no strangers to students needing help around this time in the semester. So don’t be afraid to stop by their offices and ask a few questions when you need to. Remember the staff is their to make your semester an enjoyable and educational time.
